For the 2008 season of White Horse Theatre Company, Germany I worked as a maker and dresser, creating a variety of costumes for nine plays to tour for a year. These include a man’s 17th century costume and a corseted bodice and gown for a queen.

For the summer season of White Horse Theatre 2008 I constructed and altered both modern wear and period costumes for a year long tour. Some of these include a costume of the Maid Letty and for the character of Robin Hood.

'Hot Dog' (2008)
(Professional employment)
In Channel 5’s new advert I was commissioned along with Bryony Rumble to create a human size hot dog costume in which would be the main focus of the advert. The hot dog was made out of foam, plastazote, and fabric and had to be flexiable and light weight enough to enable the actor to run and move with ease. The costume was designed by Lisa Jahovic.

'Twinkle Toes' (2008) (Professional employment)
Heart 'n' Soul' is a company that uses art to 'touch and change people's lives'. I was asked to help create a stop frame animation cat that could be used in a short film.
'Twinkle Toes' the cat needed to made to look like a soft toy that already existed. I replicated the covering (skin) of the puppet and Claire Strickland made the armature inside the puppet. The puppet was able to move its ears, head, torso and all four paws.

'Bajoo' (2008)

Bajoo was made under license at 'Rainbow Productions Ltd'. He is a new addition to a Pingu show touring England. Bajoo is a character costume made for a 5' 1" performer.
I made the body covering (skin). The feet, arms, scarf, plastazote body, head and earmuffs were made by other employees at Rainbow Productions Ltd.

For the 2007 season of White Horse Theatre company I produced costumes for a variety of plays including Romeo and Juliet and Pinch of Salt, a loose adaptation of King Lear. These costumes toured around schools throughout Germany for one year.

'Struwwelpeter'
(University project)
This costume is from Heinrich Hoffmann’s Strwwelpeter and is for the child of Harriet who plays with matches and burns to death. This was set in the Victorian period and represents the societies obsession with death and mourning. This costume was made for film and shows Harriet in the middle stages of burning and consists of bloomers, corset, 2 petticoats, pleated top skirt, and bodice.

For the movie Fred Claus, myself along with Beth Jonhson made all the Christmas hats required for the core of elves in the film. This film was released in November 2007 by Warner Bro.

'Girl in the Forest'
(University performance)
My final year degree show is based around the original folklore version of Little Red Riding Hood. It is set it in a non-western, tribal, organic world and incorporates elements of weaving and fluidity. I designed and supervised the costumes for this production along with Beth Johnson and it was staged at the Cocharane Theatre in central London.

This 18th century men’s costume is for the camp and flamboyant character of John Fancy in the play the Pool of Bethesda, which is based around the famous painting by William Hogarth. This costume transforms from traditional period dress to an exaggerated version for a dream scene, and was made for film and was constructed using traditional men”s tailoring techniques.

'The Tales of Hoffmann'

This costume is from the opera The Tales of Hoffman and was made for theatre. The garment embodies both masculine and feminine themes that reflect the persona of the character, and was inspired by the visual style of Art Nouveau.
